The latest My People, Our Stories initiative, by Contrast in partnership with Journalists for Human Rights (JHR), opens a window into everyday life in Juba, South Sudan. Ten local journalists, trained and equipped with 360° cameras, tell stories from and about their communities - from access to clean water to programs for people with disabilities, every character shares something important about their difficult, though hopeful lives in the newest country in the world. Five short stories paint a picture of a country torn by decades of conflict, stricken by poverty yet driven by an aspiration for a brighter future.

This workshop was aimed at empowering South Sudanese journalists to tell stories about their communities on a global scale and in their own voice. It allows viewers to see South Sudan through the local's eyes.
